Is a toothache bothering you? Let Ayr Family Dental help.

Don’t let the pain of a damaged tooth or an impacted wisdom tooth stop you from enjoying the things you love most. At Ayr Family Dental, we can treat toothaches with our safe and gentle tooth extraction services.

If you are already experiencing pain or can feel an inflammation in your mouth, that means a bacterial infection has already started in your tooth. Not only can a damaged tooth or an impacted wisdom tooth be very painful, infection-causing bacteria can also spread to healthy teeth or cause other health problems such as fever and throat infections.

Some patients opt to endure the discomfort with medication. While painkillers may momentarily dull the pain and antibiotics may help curb the infection, this is only temporary. With the source of bacterial growth still there, the infection can spread to other parts of your mouth from your cheeks down to your throat. Not really a pretty picture, is it?

At Ayr Family Dental, you will be receiving only the gentlest and safest dental surgical care you deserve.

Before, during, and after the procedure, you can rest assured that you are in good hands. Our team will attentively listen to your concerns and patiently go through each step of the procedure with you, beginning with a physical examination and an X-ray screening to properly assess our treatment plan for you.

As soon as we have the proper diagnosis and mode of treatment, we can then schedule the procedure.

To make sure you will not feel any pain or discomfort during the tooth extraction, our dentist will first apply anesthesia to numb the area surrounding your tooth. Yes, you heard that right! You might feel a slight numbing sensation in your mouth, but otherwise, it should be a painless procedure.

All this will be done under sterile conditions and with utmost care by our dentist. Dr. Pawan and our dental team will make sure that you are comfortable and relaxed throughout and will be there to assist you should you have any concerns.

A regular tooth extraction is a fairly simple process and usually takes only a few minutes. For wisdom tooth removals, it can take around 20 minutes or longer.

Following the procedure, there might be slight swelling or bleeding for three days. It would help to use a cold compress and to practice good dental hygiene while the mouth  is healing.

Our team will discuss post-procedural care in detail to help you heal quickly and properly. In a few days time after the procedure and with your dentist’s advice, you can go back to your usual routine and feel more confident about your oral health.
